  1. Just got in my DR1000 TBC-1000 and PA100, but I had a question about when chaining them together. After reading several, several posts, I know that I will not always be needing all of these for all projects, just when needed. If I chain them all together, if I wish to bypass a device, is it as simple as just turning off the unwanted device....will the signal pass through when the power is off any of these devices? If it is required to reroute cables for each project, possibly each scene on a tape, it there some kind of distribution panel to do this quickly so I dont have to worm my way behind my computer desk evertime?

UNITY is bypass on the DR-1000
    TBC-1000 has no bypass
No idea what the PA100 is, don't have one (BVP-4 here)

In all honesty, re-wire as needed. Only takes a few seconds. Just keep equipment where you have easy access and buy lots of s-video cables.

  3. The PA-100 is a Proc Amp from SignVideo. I just got an email confimation from SignVideo that both of these units are UNITU (bypass when powered off). You are correct the TBC-1000 doesn not bypass, they finally emailed me back too Thanks once again for the info Smurf.
