  1. I picked a few dvd's.I used DVD Decrypter and put it on my harddrive.I then used DVD Shrink ,re-author, to pick out certain scenes.I then save those scenes to my harddrive.I have Nero CD/DVD Creator 6.Now all the saved scenes(files) have the Nero Look to them. When I tried to burn, only a few scenes(files) will fit a DVD.How do I make these files smaller? Any help would be appreciated.thanks

  2. You say you used DVDshrink in reauthor mode, so why dont you just import the saved files back into shrink and compress them to fit onto one disc

  3. Well. the short answer is that you have to encode the poeces to a lower bitrate at a lower resolution to get more onto a sinle dvd. I'm assuming that when you use dvdshrink to pick out scenes that you are doing them indivually, which will give you a maximum size for each piece. Just for a start, try taking the pieces and put them into DVDAuthor (one month free trial) starting a new track for each piece and them making a menu for the whole project. (I don't intend this to be a complete guide, see the guides on the left for complete instructions). Once processed, you can run the complete project back through DVDShrink to make it fit on one dvd.
You can also encode the pieces through TMPge to a smaller bitrate and resolution and then author. It has a one month free trial also. These are not the only, or perhaps not even the best ways to do what you want, but they are a start. Nyah Levi

you must extract the content and reauthor. use for example daemon tools or isobuster and extract the video_ts folders. reauthor with dvd shrink or tmpgenc dvd author(select add dvd video and choose the video_ts folder).
