4 hours seems a very long time to burn. I suspect most of this time was encoding and bulding. Have you tried the disk on a standalone player ?

Yep. Using your computer should not have had much of an impact, other than slow the process down. I would try burning to a new disk (perhaps an R/W ?) to see if it is media issues.
