Just wondered how many people play Spider Solitare? I love that game but I always play it on the 'easy' level. Well the other day I was playing as always and came across a game I could not win! I saved the game save file and if anyone wants to give this a try, please, by all means....message me with an e-mail address and Ill send you the game save. Just please let me know how many moves you made to accomplish this. Thanks

If at first you don't succeed; call it version 1.0

all Im saying is that I thought ALL of the first suites would be winnable, but this save isnt as far as I can tell.

I only play 4 suits, and it is winnable...apparently you guys have to work too much and don't have enough free time on your hands to play that game properly.
I prescribe that you all quit working so much and become a fulltime slacker and you will win 4 suited spider solitare -
well if thats the case big boy...Ill send you the game save and you can give it a go! (not trying to be sarcastic) I really doubt this one is winnable. Send me an email addy and give this a try.

I'm not trying to say that every game is winnable in spider solitaire but you never know... -
It may not be winnable. Spider is similar to free cell there may be a few unwinnable games even with creative "undoing" in places. The 4 suit version is a tough game but can be beaten.

The game is too far along to win. With only 2 deals of the cards left.
I wish spider solitaire was like freecell and had game ##s, so we could start at the beginning. -
you are right...when you load a saved game it is too far along, which is why you load it anyway THEN press 'start from the beginning', then it will start the saved game from the very start....good luck!

ALL freecell games are winable ...

gave the students crossword puzzles again today (or was it word search)?

Alright...here we go...by the way, I know they are columns and not rows, but I called them rows anyway. There are 10 columns of cards, I named them R1 - R10, from left to right.
That will clear one run of spades, there is another one that will clear pretty quickly and the rest should be pretty simple to figure out.
When I play one suited spider solitaire, I like to deal out all the cards and start from there.
<and thanks for the "restart game" tip>

oh...and thank you Northcat, and one other thing...Ill NEVER doubt how much free time you have on your hands again either

11982 can be beat if you use the f3 cheat
1. Start game #11982.
2. Move the 2-of-hearts onto the 3-of-spades.
3. Press the F3 key to start a new game.
4. Quit the game, but type in 11982 as the new game to start.
5. Press the F10 (undo) key.
For some reason, this flips the 3-of-spades over onto the 2-of-hearts, which is a bug, but one that you can exploit to win the game."Each problem that I solved became a rule which served afterwards to solve other problems." - Rene Descartes (1596-1650) -
north_cat ...
people have worked on that one for years -- even using solvers ..

I only play the 4 suits. I win a bunch here & there. I know a cheat for FreeCell to always win. Not like it's posted ALL OVER THE WEB.
