What is next step for installing hack for DVDRHDO$ iLo?

I have sucessfully installed the update from the iLo website and would like to install the macro hack. I have downloaded the hack from guitarman's site and burned it to disc as a DATA file and finalized. When I put the disc into my unit, I get vertical bars across the screen but no indication of it being installed. I have tried it w/several different dics (CDR and CDRW) with the same results. I have also tried putting in the disc and turning the unit off then on again. What am I doing wrong?

Run the most recent official ILO firmware update file for your unit through the automatic hacking application that you can download here:

http://ilohacker.tripod.com/

Then, install the hacked version of the latest firmware update to your ILO DVD recorder. There are detailed instructions at the above link, too.

The hacks on my sight are hacked with the Smart Firmware Hacker utility listed at the link in gshelley61's posting. You can also get to the same utility from my sight if you choose to hack the factory firmware yourself (unhacked versions also on my sight). Try downloading the hacked firmware again (it may have corrupted the first time). There are very detailed instructions on my site for doing the upgrade with 98% success. Follow each step in order and it should work fine.
