I just downloaded the freeware. I am testing it by trying to convert a wave file into ac3. I copied a song from cd (wave) using windows media player. I can't seem to be able to use it in ffmpeggui. I try using the browser to locate it and import it so I can try to convert it but no luck. What am I over looking?

Is it just a PCM wav or using some kind of ACM compressor?

I meant when you ripped to wav. You should know as you were the one who did it. Never used WMP to rip anything so I don't know what it is and isn't capable of.

    I would suggest EAC.

I never have ripped with wmp either. I usually use nero. Just did it on the fly and it was handy. I will try nero this time. I am going to make ac3 files to import with video files to tmpgenc dvd author eventually. I just needed to compress audio for dvd use. I am going to give ffmpeggui a try.
