    i converted different avi and mpeg files to dvd using winavi, divxtodvd, avi2dvd, filmmachine. most of them got lags ins the video all the time, especially if the camera is moving. whats wrong?

    We need more information about your source video. is it downloaded divx,xvid? captured video? dv?
    Are you doing any framerate conversions? from ntsc to pal or pal ntsc?

    it happens with xvid, divx or mpeg1/2. it also happens if i convert it to PAL or not. i haven't found out in which cases it works

    just as an example:

    xvid
    01:25:13 (127,819 fr)
    640x352 (1.82:1) [=20:11]
    1013 kb/s
    25.000

    0x0055(MP3) ID'd as MPEG-1 Layer 3
    114 kb/s (57/ch, stereo) VBR Frau
    48000 Hz

    and it lags with every program
