  1. Okay heres what Ive got going on. Im not very experienced at this stuff, and of course Ive searched the forums but maybe Im searching the wrong keywords. I want to take different scenes from different movies and burn them all to one, putting chapter points where I want them.

I use Dvd Shrink to cut the scenes out of the original dvds
then I use Nero to burn them onto one disk, but the next button on the remote doesnt work. Like i said im not very advanced at this stuff so I would like to try to do this with as few programs as possible. Also I am already familiar with dvd shrink and nero so I dont really want to switch programs...I am familiar with TMPG, if theres a way just to encode the clips to one long "movie" or scene with an encoding program and add the chapters with something else maybe?...anyway if someone could just lead me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated. thanks

You could add your clips (In what format are they?) in TMPGEnc DVD Author, to the same title. They will be treated as one single movie. There might be a short pause at the joins, which can be avided by removing the chapter points TDA inserts at these points.

  3. I rip them with dvd shrink...to whatever format shrink puts them into...you know into the two folders...TMPG dvd author is not a freeware...do you know of any free way I could do this? Can I use vcdeasy to insert the chapters from the files dvd shrink puts out?

you see its not that i want one long movie without chapters, im trying to figure out how to put chapter stops into a bunch of random clips burned onto one dvd

I'm with Mats.TMPGEnc DVD Author has a 30 day, fully functional free trial.
    If in doubt, Google it.
