I've encountered an error using DVD Shrink recently, and I don't quite understand why. When I get home I can get the exact error, but let me at least explain it.
I recorded some stuff on my DVD recorder on a +RW. Then I took it to my comp, saved it to the hard drive via DVD Decrypter. And then I usually burn it to a -R. The problem comes in now AFTER the temp files are created, right as it is about to burn I get the error.
I've done a few things recently, let me know which might have caused this:
I changed my video driver, but I rolled it back and it didn't help.
I installed a new video game.
Then I tried to update Nero, but that didn't help either.
Any ideas why it just crapped out all of a sudden???
thanks for any help

What is the error msg.????
Work for what you need...
At a job you would do for nothing  -
maybe a burning issue with nero
you could try using dvddecrypter to do the burning -
this is the error...

The reason is there in the log, almost at the bottom, just before it stopped. Power Calibration Error. This means one of two things, crap media, which is a possibility as you are using Ritek G04 which has taken a dive in quality just recently, or your writer is dying. If you do a search for Power Calibration Error, you should find quite a few threads on this subject.

it's got to be the drive then. since i'm using a spindle of 50 and it's only somewhere in the middle. and the others have all been fine.
crap... seems i need a new drive... -
Try another disk before you count your drive out. I had three bad disks in a spindle of 100. Towards the end and all in a row. Fourth disk was okay and all subsequent ones were, too.

i'm going to use roxio to make a crap dvd later, and if that doesn't work either, then i know it's the drive.
