    Trying to convertt an avi file in roxio 7 but it does not recognise file any ideas please

    why not use something else? roxio does not support everything.

    try vso divxtodvd if you want a very easy avi to dvd tool.

    vso divxtodvd and dvd2svcd IMO are the two best all-in-one converters I know of and I've done tests on probably all of them listed on this site for ease of use, speed, and quality.
