New Pioneer dvr-231s

Just went to my local Wally's and saw that they stop carrying the pioneer 220 and now have a 231 model, anyone know the changes if any to this one?? I googled that model # and got NADA...I would like the pioneer, and have heard great results w/the 220 model. Any help would be appreciated before I lay down 200 bucks. THanks

It was the same as the 220 was lately, 198.00. so far the only difference I see is the little pull down cover hiding the AV2 and S-video connections is no longer there and maybe a little different cosmetically.

I would have thought this was a model made just for Walmart, but here it is on eBay, brand new for $149.95.

they probably bought/stole it from wal-mart and are selling it on ebay.

pioneer frequently makes wal-mart versions of dvd players/recorders..

for example pioneer makes a great dvd player..

at wal-mart its known as dv-270
at electronic outlets its known as dv-275

and there is also a dv-271 floating around, but i havent identified where it is being sold at (maybe canada)..

wal-mart has dropped the price of the dvd player to $49.. incredible price for a great dvd player.. i payed $70 for it originally.

I have seen the DVR-225 at Best Buy. Same as the Walmart DVR-220S from what I understand. Whoever is selling these new units has more than one.
