  1. i am upgrading form a panny ds10 (thank god)

    can someone tell me if this is a good reliable machine also i record films of sky and like to put 2 films on a disk so i use 4 hour mode alot on the panny the results were poor will the pioneer give good results at that length

    also does this model have the adjustments to the black level etc
    sorry if things sound vague but have read that some pioneers have this adjustment does this machine ?

  3. yeah i know there are newer machines but this is only a 199 pounds ( uk)
    and seems like a good bargain to me could you tell me if it will produce good results at 4 hour mode and if it has the black level adjustment please

    It has the black level and other video adjustments. I think the results look good at 4 hours but the question is compared to what? The Pioneer's have 32 manual settings for adjusting the bit rate to fit different length programs to a DVD. So you don't have to use the 4 hour setting unless that is how much video you're putting on the DVD. There are other settings in 5-minute increments from 60 minutes to 110 minutes, in 10-minute increments from 110 minutes to 240 minutes, and 15-minute increments from 240 minutes to 360 minutes.
