  1. Hey Gang,

Here is my dilemma, I purchased (legally) a PAL/Region 2 encoded DVD (only because it is in Moritorium Status and is COMPLETELY UNAVAILABLE in an NTSC DVD (Believe me, I checked about 300 differenty websites/sources)). I am trying to convert this thing into an NTSC file that I can then Burn on a NTSC formatted DVD. (PLEASE...I DON'T WANT TO BUY A NEW DVD PLAYER OR TV, MY DVD PLAYER RECOGNIZES THE DISC JUST FINE, THE TV CANNOT HANDLE THE PAL FORMATTING).

I have successfully converted the file using DIVA, but this application will not convert the Audio. I used FFMPEGX to demux the audio. I then used DVDSP3. I dragged my converted (albeit huge video file (15+GB)) into the video track (it shows as a NTSC video at 29.97 fps). I then dragged the demuxed audio into the audio one track. They does not sync up, and DVDSP3 will not allow me to import the original audio (cannot import PAL asset into a NTSC project).

I next tried to use HANDBRAKE to convert the file, it gave me a beautifully converted NTSC-MP4 file, looks great, sound does not sync up!!!

    PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE...HELP!!!

Does anyone know of an app that will re-encode the audio only, or convert it to where it will sync up with the video???

    ANY/ALL HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED!

Try Mpeg2Works' DVD converter app. So you don't have to go from mpeg2>mpeg4>mpeg2 (saves conversion time).

It converts the vobs from mpeg2-PAL>mpeg2-NTSC in one step with the audio.
