    HI

i have a dvd- consisting of vts and bup files- that is too large to be burnt. My dvd burner is single layer and the dvd is around 8gb so i cannot burn it. How do i divide the dvd into 2 dvds? Once again it is in dvd format consisting of vts.ifo and vts.bup files.

*basically, how do i burnt a dual layer dvd into 2 single layer dvds?

    thanx.

for dvd shrink, will it compress the dvd or will it split it into 2 dvds?
if its gonna compress the dvd into a smaller one, will the quality of the dvd get worsen?

    With DVDShrink you can:
1.Compress a DL to SL DVD(decent quality with compression) and retain the menus and extras.
2.Split the DVD to two discs by using Reauthor->Start/End but you can only use the main movie(high quality with no compression).

It would probably be a better idea to compress the DVD so it will fit on a SL disk. The quality will drop a little, or alot depending on the program and technique (I like DVD-Rebuilder), but if you do it right its not that noticable. And you will save yourself money this way, as well as the fact that you can be lazy and stay on the couch for the ENTIRE movie instead of half of it.

  7. TO split:

    DVdRemake (costs$$)

PGCedit (free, might me less intuitive)
