  1. I made some home movie using the Micrsoft MovieMaker (*.wmv). I created the movie called "MOX.wmv" on my computer harddisk. I viewed the movie okay in Nero and when I tried to burn this movie to dvd using the new Nero 6.6 and dvd+-RW, it created a data dvd and I couldn't watch the dvd on my home dvd player. The Nero 6.6 gives me only the option to burn data dvds' (instead of video dvds') and I don't know if I should first convert this "MOX.wmv" before burning it. Is there a way to convert the MOX.wmv format to a Nero 6.6 format and then burn to a blank dvd +-RW.

Please help, I am a novice at this video thing. I will really appreciate any assistance.

you need to convert your video to mpeg2 before you can make a video dvd. Check out the tools on the left and look for something to convert wmv. I would suggest TMPEGenc because it has a free 30 day trial, but i don't know for sure that it will work with a wmv (i don't realy use wmv, so i have never tried it for myself).

  3. Thanks Pench! What brand of software would you suggest I use to convert my video to mpeg2? I currently have Nero, Sonic RecordNow, SonicMyDVD and Cyberlink PowerDVD. Do you know if any of these will be able to convert my video to mpeg2?
