I purchased a RCA DRC8040N a few months back and use it a few times a week to watch retail dvd's. I've only used it to record maye 4 times at the most and it worked great. Here in the last couple of weeks I've been having problems with it playing the retail dvds, it stutters and skips through the movies. Sometimes it jumps minutes ahead. At first I thought maybe it was dirty or bad dvds but I have compared with new dvds and it has the same problem. After spending almost $200 for it I want to pull my hair out. I've had a cheap apex for over 3 yrs now and it never skips and I've never had to clean it or anything. Anyone have any advice or opinions?![]()
