I'm using Pinnacle Studio 9 and most of my tapes are small pieces of different shots. When I capture with Studio 9 it makes one big AVI file. Can someone recommend software that will make seperate files for each different section that I have filmed while it's capturing?
Thanks!
Clint

Your not happy with Pinnacle's ability to detect scene changes? You can have them detected durring capture or after. It won't give you separate video files though. You would have to split them at the marks and save each one separately.

The scene changes work fine but sometimes I use tapes for two or three different things and would like seperate files without the extra editing.

Use Scenalyzer for capture. It will create a separate file for each scene. You have a choice of using either optical scene detection or scene detection based on time code changes. For DV, I use the latter. Additionally, this software has a lot of other useful features. It's about $40 as I recall, but well worth it.
