but will i be able to play the the disc recorded in +vr mode in other dvd players?
-
I'm a recording noob, so I can't really answer your question about +vr compatability, but when I read about it, it seemed alot of new players are compatable with it. I have 4 other dvd players in my house, none of which have problems with +vr, but they are picky about + and - media, as well as rw media. Like my toshiba player plays -R media flawlessly in +vr, but not +R media. My cyberhome dvd300 plays everything I record, my ps2 plays everything, and my xbox has trouble with something, forgot what it was. And my rca player I bought years ago plays +vr dvds.

i think you just press or hold the edit botton or something like that -
Do you know, if those manual chapter markers will also be found, if the DVD is played back in normal DVD players?
-
yes the manual chapters will work on other dvd players. I've done it many times

I can stick chapter markers anywhere I want in my Philips machine and they are readable in a DVD player once the DVD us finalized of course.....or protected in the case of an RW.

An un-documented feature of most LiteOn/ILO recorders is pressing the EDIT button while recording to insert a manual chapter mark.
-
Actually, this is documented on the bottom of page 16 in the manual:
"Notes:
During recording, press [EDIT] to add chapter mark(s) in the recorded session manually."
Too bad there isn't a feature where CHAPTER marks can be displayed in the Menu the same
way as TITLE icons. ***- tac7.
