Hi i recently tried using DVD Copy Pro V_3.8 to rip an original DVD movie i have, converted it to mpg then again to VCD .BIN file, it went on 2 cd-r's
and it worked on my new dvd player, all was ok.

    Heres my question/problem.

I have this old dvd player (maybe over 5yrs old) that will play original dvd movies but won't play ripped or decrypted movies. Is there a solution to this old DVD player?

    THanks.

    My SPecs.

    Intel P4
    WIndowsXP
    ASPI installed.
    DVD-rw
    DVD-rom

p.s. i tried to copy my movies onto a dvd and thoes do work i just had to decrypt and add some files from another dvd movie and it read it perfeclty.

  2. But what to do you want to do, copy your DVD to DVD or SVCD?
If you want to copy to DVD you can try to use DVD+R, on my DVD player are more compatible (some movies don't play on DVD-R), but I think that you doin't have DVD+RW recorder.
Anyway this is SVCD authoriting, I think you should post it in another section.

You seem like a nice gurl.k.
all i'm trying to figure out is what my Old dvd player won't support that my new one does. and what can i do to about it besides throwing it away because it still plays my originals.

    besides i got a:

    PNP Device ID IDE\CDROMDVD+RW_RW5125___________________________1 .51____\5&801AE74&0&0.1.0

  4. You seem like a nice gurl.k.
What is gurl.k? I don't speak english very well.
    Anyway you have written
    Intel P4
    WIndowsXP
    ASPI installed.
    DVD-rw
    DVD-rom
So I have thought that you have a DVD-R recorder and not a DVD+R recorder.
Have you tried both DVD+R and -R?
If you have tried both of them, I don't know if there is a way.
If you are tryng to use (S)VCD (I really don't understand wath kind of standard you want to use) perhaps your old player isn't compatible.

  5. Your old player might play DVD+R bitset to DVD-ROM. It also might react to different media (+ or -) more favorably than others.

... or it may not play the brand(s) of media you're currently trying, it may not play discs burnt with the software you're using, or it may not play burnt media at all.
    If in doubt, Google it.
