  1. I live in Southern California and my sister just called me up from Idaho. She was at circuit city with her roomate deciding on a tv and standalone dvd player.

I told her what prices i saw online using the froogle search engine so we were totally unsure about what we should do.

I have purchase phonebatteries, books, cd's... from the internet which don't break too easily. When i thought about the 27'' tv they wanted to buy, i was kinda scared at the thought of ordering online because it might break in the shipping.

If you had to by a 27'' flat screen tv and dvd player, would you purchase from the internet or at the store? I know the prices online look better, but is it worth it?

    Thanks.

Purchase the tv at a local store cause if it ever breaks down you dont want to ship it off for repairs, much easier to take it back to the store for an exchange.

Check online prices with the local store and see which is better and remember if it needs to be replaced it will have to shipped if bought online,if the savings are a lot better then the store price then buy online.

  5. If you want a good price on a DVD player try e-bay. I've bought 3 players from Sears Liquidation for about half the price of new. They all work fine.

Definatly buy the tv at a B&M store, the convenience is worth the extra money.I once bought a 27" tv online from Goodguys.com and it was damaged,I called a local store and they said I would have to ship it back where I got it.

I'd only ever buy a TV from a store, mainly because you have somewhere to go in person if anything were to ever go wrong. I bought my DVD Player online, but considering the massive price difference in TVs vs DVD Players, I was "happy" to purchase the player online, and if something ever went wrong - oh well, lesson learnt. It wouldn't be as much of a loss to part with.
    If in doubt, Google it.

  8. I'd pick out a DVD player at the store (where you can look, touch, maybe try out), then consider buying it online to save money.
