    Hi,

Just read on yahoo that LUCAS announced there will be a live action Star Wars tv show at the convention this past weekend. He said it will take place between episode 3 and 4. It will also be at least a year before it goes into production.

    That is too cool!

He's also making a cameo on the show THE OC on FOX on May 12th as himself. I may watch it.

Kevin, you should know that as there are three movies of Beverly Hills Cops.

They are as Beverly Hills Cops, Beverly Hills Cops 2 and Beverly Hills Cops 3.

Eddie Murphy is the star on the comedy cop movies.

Get yourself a copy of all three so that you can have fun watching.

I don't think the TV series would be the same after the cinema.

I would think that the Star Wars TV series would be killed sometime later just like Star Trek is for now.

    Hi,

Don't downplay the resources LUCAS can throw into it. This could be just like BATTLESTAR GALACTICA is now on SCIFI. I didn't like the little I saw of BSG but its caught on big time now.

Regarding Beverly Hills Cop 3 - sorry didn't know. Lethal Weapon is more fun in my opinion.

Kevin, I am a fan of Battlestar Galactica as I do have the DVD box set of the original TV series.

I also did enjoy the movie of that same title too.

I haven't watched the new TV series as yet.

This is even though on TV weekly in Sydney just now, it will be on TEN tonight (Wednesday).

I'll just wait for the DVD of the new BSG TV series.

Kevin, I know you love Star Wars and you can't wait for the new release at the cinema.

I'll just wait and see how the TV series would come out.

I doubt the original stars be on the series though.

    What do you think?

Must have been straight to video, or at least QUICK to video. I thought I might have seen it, but I guess I never did.

    Hi,

Yeah I don't know if the prequel cast will be in the tv series at all. Though of course most of the JEDI get killed off except for yoda and Obi Wan so that limits the cast quite a bit!

But I think it would be cool if they set it 10 or 15 years in the future to see HAN SOLO's story. How he grew up on CORELLIA and how he met CHEWIE. That would be a cool story arc.

Beverly Hills Cop III sucks. Murphy wanted to be an action star instead of a comedian in that movie.

Star Wars show might be good, but I am not holding my breath.

  14. Apparently this is only going to be a cartoon, like the Clone Wars ones that have just come out.

    Hi,

Nope the yahoo article I read says he's doing BOTH a 3d clone wars cartoon AND a live action tv show.

I imagine this being a series, the budget would be somewhat limited. The music will probably be mostly canned, or single pieces here and there. I wouldn't expect a full blown score for each episode though. Also, don't hold your breath about actors in this series. Chances are, there will be entirely new (and unheard of) characters all played by young unknowns. I realize it is George Lucas and he does have alot of resources, but I wouldn't imagine he would go entirely nuts with this. Probably a million an episode or so depending on the amount of CGI.
