  1. I have InstantCopy, version 8.0. When I am using this version to back up a DVD, for example Flight of the Phoenix, the compression for movie only shows 83%. CloneDVD and DVDShink show the same. I updated InstantCopy to the newest version, 8.3.0.8. Now, when I backup the same movie, it shows the compression for movie only as 75%. Same audio streams.

However, if I run the movie through DVDShrink or CloneDVD, stripping out the extras with no compression and mount the image, the new version of InstantCopy will show the compression at 83%.

    Hay anybody else seen this?

Did you check the output size in Instant copy? I haven't used it for months now, but I remember that there was an issue with this.
There are links on this website to tools which will enable access to parameters which can modify these settings. I think you could increase the output size to 4.39 or something like that.
