My 2 favorite editing tools tmpgenc and vegas video are giving me fits.i have video that ive edited and then compresed to xvid to save space .now that i want to reedit the video problems arise.one:my thought was to use tmpgenc to render out to vcd, svcd,or dvd themn load into vegas , but alas there is no sound.when i go strait to vegas it cannot read the video strem.ive used nic's fourcc changer and vegas says it recognizes both audio and video streams ,BUT will not load ,gives a read codec error.this has been fustrating i have searched for hours and days to a solution, any help would be appreciated.thanks

You could probably frameserve to vegas or just re-encode to something more suitable for editing like huffyuv.
