    Is it ok to use an XD card if the rubber backing is off.

    You know how the gold part shows on the back and then the bottom half is covered by black stuff. Well my card got messed up n now the whole bottom is showing. Is it safe

    XD card is one of those little memory-chip cards right? I'm not entirely familiar with those I only use the Compac Flash Card.

    If it got "messed up" than I would try to back up it contents and move it to a new XD card. I don't trust something that got "messed up"

    If parts are exposed they could become damage easily because they were not meant to touch anything.
