i recently started punching my bag outside that weighted 100lbs when i bought it 6 years ago..god only know how much it weighs now since it rained on it i estimate its around 200lbs or more..
a long story short i left the bag out there for all that time and it weighs a freakin ton and a half..
all the canvas has sunk to the bottom i use 12 ounce gloves to punch the bag and its painful on my wrists..
my knuckles got cut when wearing a glove..even with wrap..
what can i do to soften up the back a little?? the bag is made out of leather i was thinking of maybe putting some ducttape around the middle of it maybe that might help the bag soften up some..
i know one thing i tried to hit the bag with an aluminum bat and all it did was put a little crater about 5 inches in long in the sucker and i am a 250lb man and i can only hit this monster bag for so long..
do i need a new punching bag?? or should i stick with this one until the pain goes away in my wrists??
