I think Sifo Dyas is Count Duku aka Darth Tyranus. Darth Tyranus worked for Palpatine aka Darth Sedious. Order 66 already programmed into clone army since day one.
Possible that Obi-wan was delibrately led to Kameno through a special dart from Jango Fet's hired killer ? -

Sifo Dyas is not Count Dooku. Sifo like Dooku believed that the Jedi had belittled and weakened themselves by servicing the corrupt republic. He is believed to have secretly ordered the creation of the Clone Army. However, it could be that Darth Sidious ordered the creation via Sifo Dyas.
Regardless of who really placed the order, it was Dooku who came up with the clone host, Jango Fett. When Obi-Wan Kenobi arrived on Kamino, the Kaminoans told him Sifo-Dyas had ordered the clones, but when Obi-Wan had asked Jango about Sifo-Dyas, Fett reacted suspiciously and then proceeded to claim that he had never heard of Sifo-Dyas, insisting that he was hired by "a man called Tyranus". Tyranus, as is revealed later, is the Sith name of Count Dooku.
Because the Clone Army was ordered by the sith, it was designed in asuch a way that it will obey orders without question - even if it meant to sacrifice oneself. That is why the Clone troopers obeyed Order 66 without question. This order was programmed into them right at conception.
Dooku was ordered to murder Sifo-Dyas and erase Kamino from the Jedi Archives before he left the Jedi Order for good. He killed Sifo Dyas shortly after the time of the Battle of Naboo.*** My computer can beat me at chess, but is no match when it comes to kick-boxing. *** -

It's probably so much simpler than that. A Sith lied about his identity. Easy as that. Those people on Camino are entirely separated from the Republic. They wouldn't know one person from another.

Syfo-Diaz was killed under mysterious circumstances and his death was the first sign yoda and mace had that the balance of the force was slipping. (more like being tipped, actually.)
The knowing look yoda and mace share after obi-wan tells them the kaminoans think Sifo ordered the clones is the same look they gave each other when Qui-Gon said he thought his mysterious attacker on tatooine was a sith.
Since Jango was hired by "Tyranus" about this same time to be the template for cloning, it is more likely that Sidious was the one who presented himself on Kamino as Sifo-Dyas and ordered the clone army. Killing the real Sifo-Dyas may have been the test for Jango competency.
This doesn't preclude Dooku being the fake Sifo-Dyas, but it keeps Jango's employer and the contact for the Kaminoan's different.
According to Obi-Wan, Sifo-Dyas was killed more than 10 years ago, at least according to his discussion with Yoda and Mace Windu. That means whoever ordered the army was probably not him. Kamino is not on Jedi starcharts, probably to cover up the Clone Army. Only a Jedi could have removed Kamino from the archives, and Count Dooku left the order at the perfect time. Plus, we know he hired Jango Fett. That is why I believe that the one the Kaminoans refer to as Sifo-Dyas was actually Dooku. On the other hand, I doubt the Kaminoans ever met Sifo-Dyas in person. When Obi-Wan first arrives, Taun We seems to think he is Sifo-Dyas until he tells her otherwise.
All just a bunch of theories anyway, I don't think Sifo is going to amount to anything. He was just a minor offscreen character used for a purpose.1f U c4n r34d 7h1s, U r34lly n33d 2 g3t l41d!!! -

In the end does it really matter who he was??? No. The important part of Episode 2 was that it was revealed that the Clone Troopers are really the Stormtroopers we saw in the original trilogy. AND we find out the troopers are copies of Jango Fett. Those are the important messages from CLONES. (Not to mention learning that BOBBA was really a clone of JANGO himself - albiet grew up differently since his "FATHER" died when he was young).

EDIT - Plus the last important piece was that since a SITH ordered them they implanted the BERZERKER code to wipe out the JEDI at the appropriate time.Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw? -
This will settle all doubts.
Extracted from the Wikipedia:
Sifo-Dyas was a Jedi Master in the Jedi Order, though he was killed shortly after the time of the Battle of Naboo. The Kaminoan prime minister Lama Su informed Obi-Wan Kenobi that Sifo-Dyas had ordered the creation of a clone army on Kamino to help the Galactic Republic. The Jedi Council was not aware of the order until Kenobi informed them of it after he met with the Kaminoans.
According to the novel Labyrinth of Evil, Sifo-Dyas was a friend of Jedi Master Dooku, who shared his belief that the Jedi Order was not what it once was and that it shamed itself by serving a corrupt Senate. Dooku, upon beginning his training as Sith Lord Darth Tyranus, was told by his master Darth Sidious that Sifo-Dyas had placed the order for the Clone Army in secret. Dooku was ordered to murder Sifo-Dyas and erase Kamino from the Jedi Archives before he left the Jedi Order for good.
The truth about the Clone Army is left ambiguous- it is possible that Sifo-Dyas indeed ordered it, but it is just as likely that Sidious ordered it and possibly used Sifo-Dyas as a scapegoat, in order to cover his tracks and rid himself of Sifo-Dyas, for reasons unknown. It is possible Sidious felt that Sifo-Dyas's friendship with Dooku could jeopardize his training as a Sith Lord. With Qui-Gon Jinn and Sifo-Dyas dead, Dooku was more likely to be be loyal to his new Sith master.
Regardless of who really placed the order, it was Dooku who came up with the clone host, Jango Fett. When Obi-Wan Kenobi arrived on Kamino, the Kaminoans told him Sifo-Dyas had ordered the clones, but when Obi-Wan had asked Jango about Sifo-Dyas, Fett reacted suspiciously: in an alien language, Mandalorian, since he was Mandalorian stated in Episode II, he told his son Boba to close the bedroom door where Jango's armor was hidden, then proceeded to claim that he had never heard of Sifo-Dyas, insisting that he was hired by "a man called Tyranus". Tyranus, as is revealed later, is the Sith name of Count Dooku. How much Jango knew about the Sith plot will remain a mystery; he was killed shortly after the meeting.
Nevertheless, the truth of the matter remains unstated in the Star Wars series. What is clear is that the Sith were involved with the clone order, given the fact that the clones were trained to obey Order 66 without question.
Eventually revealed and used at the behest of the Galactic Republic, this army was later turned against the guardians of peace and justice as the Galactic Empire was created.
Sifo-Dyas was known as Sido-Dyas in early scripts for Attack of the Clones, where it was intended to be a cover name for Darth Sidious, as Obi-Wan, nor the Jedi Council recognized the name in earlier drafts.1f U c4n r34d 7h1s, U r34lly n33d 2 g3t l41d!!! -

Oh, and a very nice touch at the end, the tribute to Peter Cushing (of Episode 4 fame, now deceased)
Stunning movie.
Ep. 4, 5 & 6 will never be the same again, I'll always see Anakin behind the mask
