Hey, this might just be me, but still I edited this video in windows movie maker and the video is only 30 minutes long. Nothing special is done with it just a basic cut video, and the quallity of the video isn't even that good. I captured the video clips, with a cheap Dazzle DVC 80 converter, for my analog camcorder. When I went to "save movie to computer", I was going to save or make it as a .AVI file type. Which on Movie Maker, the only format for .avi is the DV-AVI (NTSC), which is alright. But my question is why is the file size of my 30 min. video 7,211.25 MB's?? That is way to big for a crappy quality 30 min. video.

You saved it as an uncompressed AVI, which uses 20 gigabytes for every hour of footage. You need to specify a compression codec in the program, like HuffyUV or Sorenson, or DIVX or something like that. Do a search for these in the tools section and install them, then save the file again using one of the codecs.

DV is roughly 13.2 GB per hour, and is roughly 5:1 compression, so that file size sounds about right. I'd suggest you either output to WMV, or load the DV AVI into something like Virtualdub then apply DivX or XviD to it if you want to pull the size down considerably, or you could use any number of programs to convert it to VCD/SVCD/DVD if that's what you want.
If in doubt, Google it.
