I recently installed Intervideo WinDVD version 3.2 on my Compaq laptop. However, my computer will only play 2-8 seconds of a DVD before freezing.![]()
Any ideas why this might be happening & what I can do to fix it??

I'd say it has something to do with your overlay or maybe your DirectX.
Do you have to reboot your laptop after it freezes?
Are your video card drivers uptodate?
How much RAM do you have? You do know your video card uses your RAM for it's memory right? So 256 MB of RAM and a 64 MB video card leaves you with only 192 MB of RAM for apps.
Does the video freeze or does the DVD drive?
