Has anyone experimented with disabling DVDDecrypter's "Burn Proof" option while burning with the 1620 Pro? I'm thinking the WOPCII control built into the BenQ and the Burn Proof in DVDDecrypter are sort of fighting over who gets to check the discs burning.
My DVD's burns at 8x have turned out OK (no coasters) but the speed is very unstable......sometimes even stopping completely.
The only "file" burning I've done so far is with TDA and it seems to be burning at a constant speed...judging only by the sound of the burner....I could be wrong.
Thanks
Hech

I believe the Burn Proof prevents coasters by turning off the laser if the buffer empties prematurely. The WOPCII selects the burning speeds based upon the quality of the disc. They should be two different things.

Also Burn Proof is in the hardware not in the software. The software just indicates whether the drive has the hardware to support it. Believe me, if it were in software I would have used it on some of the older drives I had that did not have it in hardware.
Still a few bugs in the system...
