I've been doing a lot of reading on VHS>DVDR and there is a lot of different equipment recommended. I'm trying to bargain hunt and stay away from the highly recommended but pricey stuff.
The VHS I will be transferring is fairly decent quality so I don't think I need really high end stuff. That said, I was looking at a few items for sale and would like to see if anyone has any opinions on them:
Both of these are rack units and I don't know if that means I need to get
accessories for them, or if I can just plug them up to my VCR and DVD recorder and be set??
Novamate Novatrol2 TBC
Fortel DHP-525 TBC
For VCRs:
JVC HR-SC1000U
JVC HR-J693U
JVC HR-S5100U SVHS
JVC HR-S3600U SVHS
JVC HR-S7300
JVC BR-S378U
PANASONIC AG-7650
Any input would be appreciated, thx. I plan on picking up a Pioneer 220S or Lite On 5005 tomorrow as well.

I have the PIONEER 220-S which is great for vhs to dvd conversions. I even use a cheapo SONY vhs. Long ago I thought about purchasing a DATAVIDEO TBC but for me there is no need for one since I don't have any problems with converting to dvd. You won't have any regrets in purchasing the PIONEER 220-S unit.
