OK, I have a 2 part movie. As source for each part, I have 3 VOBs (I'm reauthoring a DVD), 6 VOBs in total. I also have 1 subtitle file for each part, 2 subtitles in total.
Somehow, I figured a DLP "movie" to equal a "title", so I could just add vob 1-3 + sub 1 to movie1, and vob 4-6 + sub 2 to movie2, and have a 2 title DVD. But that doesn't seem to work - I can only pull 1 video asset to one movie - if I try to add more video to a movie, I replace the current. It doesn't seem possible to "multi select" assets and drag them over to the movie either.
Possible solutions are:
Make a movie for each video asset, have them play one after the other. But then I have to split my subs in 3 pieces each.
Demux VOB 1-3 (and 4-6) to one m2v and one AC3 - tedious.
My Q is: Is it impossible to "concatenate" several video assets into one movie, or am I missing something obvious?

There was a sinilar post elsewhere, however it involved some 50 small clips. As I pointed out in that post, DVD Lab Pro assumes you have all you assets in order before you open it to author.
Having said that, if you have all your vobs together in one folder, and import the first one, it should offer to open all vobs in the set, join them together as a single movie, and demux the results. This will only work for vobs from the one title set, and seems to work best if the vobs only contain one movie. You cannot join two different movies together this way, or join seperate parts to make a whole movie unless it was whole in the vob set.Read my blog here.

Yes, I just read that - but that started with "how to load many assets into DLP" - not exactly what I was driving at, even if I now see my question has been answered (my fears confirmed) in that thread too! Ah, well. Where did I put ReJig?
But I'll try selecting just the first VOB from a title when importing - I selected all 6 - to see if DLP will "auto-concatenate" each title.

Thank you, yes, and with TDA, but I want it done with DLP, as there are other stuff I want to do that only DLP offers, once I get the assets in order.

Shows you how to join the vobs so you load it in as a single file.Read my blog here.

Thanks - but it seems easier to do it "the right way" - demux.

When importing the .vob's, just select join and demux. Rename the first m2v and ac3, then import the second. This will result in 2 movies.

Well, tried to select VTS_01_1.vob, hoping that VTS_01_2.vob and VTS_01_3.vob would come along automagically - but no such luck. ReJig running right now.

Very strange. It's always worked for me...
Click Project, Properties, and look on the Options tab. It should have "Always Ask" beside the VOB files option. This brings up the options screen.Cheers, Jim

Maybe I didn't pay close enough attention to what the popup window said. Well, mission accomplished, anyway.
