Hi all,
I have 2 PAL converting DVD players. An APEX 1165 and a DAEWOO DVN-8100N. I recently bought 6 PAL DVD's on the Anchor Bay label. 4 play fine, but 2 appear a bit jumpy. Not unwatchable, but not great. They are 16:9 anamorphic. So are 2 of the discs that play well. Is this just the way it is when converting PAL-NTSC via inexpensive DVD player chipsets or could it be my TV not accepting the signal properly. The composite and S-VHS give the same result and I can't try the Progressive outputs because my TV is old and lacks them.
Oh, and the discs play fine on the PC drive or when run through the video in's on the ATI card if I set it for a PAL input.
Thanks for any light that could be shed on this for me.
