    Can anyone tell me what this is before the rebadging? I cant tell from any pics I have seen.

    The picture on the box looks like a pioneer, but thats not always reliable.

    BTC made the 8X model. Who knows here. Dynex office is the same address as Best Buy corporate headquarters. Their support center says they no longer carry this model and there is no firmware support. Whatever it is I would avoid it.

    (same as at CDFreaks)

    Its the LG GWA 4161b, I know becuase I bought it thinking it was a pioneer, but it wasnt the same as the pic. on the box. Anyone know the rep. of the LG?

    The first LG I had lasted 16 burns and died. Some people had problems with discs from the second one pausing and skipping, didn't read very good either. I wouldn't buy another one. Get an NEC and all will be well.
