Hank the creator of the HC encoder gave instructions in the doom9 forum on how to use the HC batch encoder with the freeware version of Rebuilder. I tested it and it works. I use .78 freeware and Hank's latest batch program (.012).
1) Just create an HC.ini file like the one below and make sure it's in the same folder as the HC batch exe. I made a folder just for HC encoder and put it in the main directory of DVD-RB. 2) Change the rebuilder.ini to point to the HCbatch.exe instead of the QuEnc.exe. Then run in QuEnc mode. Just thought I pass it along to anyone want to try a new encoder. It's a slow encoder, it took me 5 1/2 to encode a 5.8gb movie. The results looked good.
HC.ini should look like this (this is all you need):
*maxbitrate 8000
*matrix qlb
*profile best
*logfile C:\Program Files\DVD-RB\test.log
