  1. main movie size 7000megs whats up?

    i am using dvd shrink and latley i have noticed that there are 2 main movie files both almost identical but one is larger in size than the other. latley i have found (colatoral) some movies have 1 large main file even turning off everything it is over 5000 megs. any ideas.

    If there are two movies it is usually a sign that there are multi-angles at work. It could be seamless branching or something else. If you use DVD Decrypter to rip the movie, you can tell it which angle to take.

    Even at 5000mb, a 130 min movie has an average bitrate of less than 5000 if it has a single AC3 5.1 audio track. I would be happy to see single movies of 7000+ if it means having a good quality encode at higher average bitrates. If I want low bitrate movies I'll buy the $2.99 Ed Wood budget films instead.
