Morning All,
I d/l and installed DVDinfoPro to read the media code of some TDK 8X DVD-R media I bought recently from Fry's Electronics. Its TTG02. I noticed that when I search the media database and find this retail product the media-code is a link, and if I click the link I get what appears to me several brands of products with the same media code.
Can I interpret the media code to mean that an OEM manufacturer is being used by several companies to 'brand' the media as their respective product? If so, should one expect the same performance, on average, across the board and not one brand to be better than the next for the same media code?
Or, is my interpretation incorrect on what the media code actually is for? Looking for a little enlightenment here.![]()
