I recently received a E-learning video learning software package for a job im going to be doing.
Its 8cds which installs on the system. CD1 installs then asks for 2 etc etc
Seeing as I am runnning all over this place and for storage reasons, 8cds is really impractical to be hauling around. I wish to put all these on one dvd and have it install.
Now I could just rip the isos and put them directly on a DVD then use a mounting tool in the future to install, but thats assuming the destination pc has something like alcohol to mount the ISO.
So this wont do. How do I go about making an auto install of all 8cds onto 1 dvd. Each cd ISO is about 300mb, i dont understand why the s/w company didnt put 2 per cd to make it 4, but they are 300.
Thanks in advance.

daemon tools is freeware, you might try that.
alcohol is a bit different, its payware so you just cant go around installing it on every computer.. cos it costs moeny.. -
You misunderstood.
I dont want to have to install software to install the training cd....
I want it to be an autoinstall by itself. I know this is possible as many DVD linux dist have been made via multi cd versions. As well as bootleg MS Office DVD's.
Thanks -
try copying all the files/folders from all the discs to a folder on the hdd, create a disc image of it, mount it and see if it will install correctly.

Ok so your saying unrar the ISO's, all of them to one dir? Do i keep them all in one dir or in their sep folders?
Then repack them into a single ISO, mount this and then see? -
you dont have to unrar anything, they're just cd's..
create a folder on your c: drive called "8disccompliation", then copy everything from each cd and put it in there.
once you've got everything copied to that folder create an iso with img tool. mount the iso with alcohol or daemon and see if it will let you install correctly
