What has bad sector? Your backup or your original? If its the original, you could have a dirty or scratched disk. Even if you can't see it. If it's your backup, your media is not good. Try a better media. Your? does not contain all the info needed to make an accurate suggestion.

Sounds like Arcoss protection. Try a forum search.

I think the latest versions of DVDdecrypter or AnyDvd can get round it.

  8. One of the suggestions for previous titles with this kind of protection was VOB BLANKER. Never used it myself but should be worth trying.

Or check the DVDdecrypter forums for advice.

What version of anydvd are you using?

Anydvd updated recently to handle the newest version of arCCos.

Dvdregion + CSS Free will also handle it.

    BINGO!

I love it when people say "I have tried the latest DVD Decrypter and AnyDVD" but in reality they are using one that's a month or two old... *sigh*

  14. Doh !!

    Sure was an outdated Anydvd
Only by a few weeks though (never had auto check for new version selected)
Is this the only current program that can crack the new Arcoss protection ?

AnyDVD seems to be the only SW that is keeping up with the feeble attempts by Hollywood to keep us from backing up our DVDs.

As gurm said, don't assume you do the "latest" this or that. You probably do not. Case and point is AnyDVD.

They modified it slgihtly to keep up with the latest protection scheme changes
