Have you old burned dvdrs that works on your mates sony and xbox?
    How old is your dvdwriter?

But I would try other/more dvdr brands and also try burn with imgburn.

my dvd writer is about 8 months old

if i use raw xvid format and use x to dvd and then burn it automatically using nero these work fine on mine and my mates both his xbox and his stand alone sony dvd player

he has old dvds a few years ago about 2 that work on his and mine this was done on my old pc tower but still using some same software

    main software is
dvd shrink / dvd copy pro few tmpgenc bits and x to dvd and dvd santa all used on on decent vebatim dvd

not sure is best to use +r media

never use to have this problem can think when started but only mainly happens at my mates works on mine fine and girlfriends i get odd one from shrink 3.2 that does not work on stand alone dvd player

not sure best software to use if can recommend better software please comment give me list as be fine as gone to the extrem of converting from dvd vob back to xvid then used x to dvd to re create dvd
