A MISTER involved with a formerly secret piracy network, has pleaded guilty to criminal charges.

Joshua Abell, 24, of San Antonio, Texas, told US Magistrate Judge Nancy Nowak in San Antonio that he was a member of the "warez scene" group. Warez groups illegally got their paws on Hollywood films, before ripping them and making them public on the internet.

Abell is the third person to be caught under "Operation Fastlink," which the US police think is the largest multi-national law enforcement action ever taken against online software piracy.

Abell admitted two charges of copyright infringement and conspiracy to commit copyright infringement.

He could face more than 10 years inside when he is sentenced on May 26
