PVR with built in DVD Recorder?

Is there a PVR (Personal Video Recorder) on the market or on its way that also has a built in DVD recorder? (Or a PVR with built in DVD recorder!)

Toshiba and Pioneer either make or made TiVo units with a built-in DVD recorder.

Isn't that what a DVD recorder with a hard disk is?
(Or are you talking a specific PVR unit such as DishNet?)

a PVR as i undertand it has a freeview tuner and EPG (Electronic Programme Guide). So its HDD + DVR + Freeview. Since starting this post i came across this which suggests they are on their way, but not yet, unless anyone knows different?

Don't know much about Tivo isn't that a subscrition service? I don't want to pay a month fee.

I think your PVR definition is rather narrow because TiVo and ReplayTV originated the PVR. In any case, the TiVo Basic included in the Toshiba and Pioneer units is free. It also can be upgraded to a subscription-level service.

Newer units are coming with free EPG, as you can see here:
