    Hi guys.

Recently, I've backed up a few movies for my friends, but they cannot play them on their DVD-ROM.

Is there anything I can do to make my -R discs, which are MXLRG03, more compatible?

    Thanks!

    Yeah, both have PowerDVD apparently.

One of my friends says, that upon insertion of the disc inbto his DVD-ROM that the disc doesn't even spin.

Oddly, the discs work A-OK on their standalones.

weird...i guess it's a possibility of the rom not liking the media. more likely something is not right with their computer. so even when you go to my computer and right click on that drive and hit play nothing at all happens? does the drive even recognize anything is inserted?

    Thanks for the suggestion budz.

I suggested to my friends that they do the following:

Open WMP, hit Open, find their DVD Drive, find the Video_TS folder, then just double click the top-most IFO.

I'm awaiting feedback, so we'll see. I don't know every detail of their plight; they're not very computer literate, so chances are, it's "user error" that's preventing them for playing the discs.
