    Hi guys,
    I need to setup a 24/7 webcam and in order to save bandwith I was thinking about black and white image. After all, b/w is only about two colors so the speed should be considerably better and a lot less bandwith used for this.
    Does any of you know a software able to select b/w or color for streaming video ?

    You can have just as many shades of grey as you can actual colors. Just try reducing the image quality settings until you reach your desired bandwidth.
