    Like the subject title says, does the DR-M10S record at 1/2 D1, full D1, or is it something that can be set? I didn't see anything in the manual and its awful hard to search for "D1" on this site with the minimum 3 character search string limitation.
    I ask because I see that SP mode is 5000 Mbps. Isn't that be a little low for full D1, especially if your recording sporting events?

    From 5 min to 2 hour 30 minutes it uses full D1. It switches to half D1 after 2 hour 30 minutes recording time (as far as I remember).
