Will be posting scans of these. The +R are CMC that scan fairly well. These are the -R 8x. Going to start it off with a 12x burn. (They're rated 8x).
These are inkjet printable, but they are not advertised as such, nor priced as such...cheapest I've ever seen high-quality printable media, for sure.. (100 after tax ends up being less than $35).

Good results on the KProbe...but I still dont like how this burn turned out - as I find my NEC is more of a real-world indicator of how a disc will read, where my Liteon is an *extremely* good reader, and will read almost anything.. (it's saved a lot of discs data that I thought were coasters for sure...old burns etc)

My PX-712A just chokes on all TTG02 discs I throw at it. I got two 25-disc spindles from CC today; one branded, one inkjet printable. I test two discs from each spindle, and the results were 3 coasters that never finished burning (the two IJP disc didn't even get past 1GB, and one of the branded got maybe up to 2.5GB) and only one that burned successfully and that's because PowerRec dropped the burn speed to 6x immediately.

Do you guys happen to know where these disc are made? I have seem some at Costco that are made in India. I was wodnering what the media code is for these.

Used 50 so far, had one coaster (cause unknown, failed in burner).
Made in Taiwan. TTG02 from CMC plant.
Typical excellent media.Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)

You would easily have MBI codes. Some MCC is done at MBI too, or at least was at one point in the recent past (2003-2004 sometime).Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)

Man, this is ridiculous. I've tried burning these TTG02 at 8x, 6x and 4x and have gotten nothing but coasters (burn fails at some point during the process, sometimes they don't even get past lead in). Either my PX-712A *really* doesn't like this media code, or all the stores around here got slapped with some shoddy batches.

Heh...My NEC3500 dosnt like the TTG02's too much...Well, I should say - It loves to burn them, get crazy quality burns...But my readback with DVDInfo always staggers a bit near the end for some reason, no matter what burner was used to burn them. (Scanned ones burned from a 108, 3500, 2500, and 832S now..) While the ones it burns have PIF's topping at 2/3 normally.
