Don't understand what the controversy is. It's not like they're replacing the old characters, it's only for one show.

they have reversioned them many times before -- like the stupid baby bugs and friends versions , what ever its called..
nothing new ... and like was said -- they are not getting rid of the old versions ...
what the heck though is Lolita Bunny?"Each problem that I solved became a rule which served afterwards to solve other problems." - Rene Descartes (1596-1650) -

I hope its not CG..... The change over sounds bad enough but not that handdrawn animation is dying out it would look really really strange. Like those commercials for that DIRECT to video Disney holiday movie last year. A CG MICKEY?????..........
KevinDonatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw? -
all tv stuff is cgi now, even flat 2d is done on SI , 3dmax and maya primarly .. WAY to expensive for hand paintd cells - which really at this point is just about a dead format -- there are ways to make cgi look like hand painted cells now ...
disney has already laid off most of the animators some time ago and any hand work is done in korea and china primarly - and lso for a lot of the cgi work .. more than what you think .."Each problem that I solved became a rule which served afterwards to solve other problems." - Rene Descartes (1596-1650) -
Saw it a few days ago on the news. I think it's a stupid idea personally.
