Ok, I'm an idiot. I was moving my TV and I dropped it. It's a very old Mitsubishi CS-2610R CRT from 1982. It works fine, but the input display selector is always on the screen (example: it always displays the channel or S-VHS, or LINE IN, etc.)

Normally, this would disappear after a few seconds, but now it's permanent. Anyone know how to reset it or something? I can't find a buttons on the set, but I haven't opened it up.

Before you tell me how cheap TV's are, we are dead broke and this is our only set.

Thanks in advance for any ideas.

You have one choice. Kill it with fire!

Beyond that I dunno, you've checked to make sure its not just a toggle on the remote right? Cause I can do that with the push of a button and turn it off again at will.

Born in 82 and still a baby? Na, not even a human would still be a baby.

Save up for a new one and put up with the annoying logo for now. Them move "the baby" to a bedroom will it will not be as annoying.

If it helps I have some friends who always keep a tape in the VCR and so it ALWAYS displays VCR info on the screen even when watching TV. Annoying as crap but I put up with it because well... I guess I'm as lazy as they are.
