I have a project 45min on my pioneer520hd from the fce timline,can i re-import this to my camera via firewire then back in to fce via cam/firewire to re-edit, would there be any loss if this can be done.

You should be able to do that... the firewire port on the Pioneer DVD recorders is two-way (won't work when playing back copy-protected DVD's, though).
There may be a little loss of quality due to the MPEG2-->DV-->MPEG2 conversion, but it will still look very good. -
If I am not mistaken..... You can use JVC DR-DX7
to record in DV-AVI onto HDD. It is little offtopic, but in this situation there should not be any loss. Am I right ?Pinnacle Studio 8 and DV home video editing (ver.9 already home)
