  1. I just got my mini dv and posted here https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=257882&highlight= with some problems. I think i finally got it all sorted out though, except I'd like to be able to capture with windv without hearing everything as I capture.

I didn't have audio when I captured before with windv in the final avi that it spitted out, but I found out thats cuz the volume was up on my camcorder. but im pretty sure i was able to do that before, but i forget how i did that.

anyone know what to do? thanks

  3. hrmm i just played around with the camera, cuz i thought i remembered getting audio in the file even though the volume was down.

i tried a combination of things, like playing some mp3's while recording, starting the music before and then starting during, etc..

and now no matter where the volume meter on the camera is, it seems to work...

    weird.

  5. I use dvio and instead of using the screen on my camera to check how far along in the video it is, I use the regular view finder when I don't want to hear the audio while transferring.

  9. k i think i found out wahts wrong, but i dont know why...

seems like whenever i rewind ALL the way and hit capture, there'll sometimes be audio, sometimes not.

but if i start the tape playing and THEN hit record, itll work everytime.

you guys know anything more than i do that could cause this? or is this happening cuz of something else minor that i missed?

    thanks
