back up copy locks up in all players

when i try to play this back up copy, it plays ok for an hour or some then just locks up.
i've cleaned the disc still the same, tried it in all dvd players and in different computers still the same
guy told me i may be able to re-convert? the film using dvd decrpyt

looked at guides and searched but must be putting in wrong set of words
as i cannot find any help

My last shirt on dodgy media/bad burn. Scan the disc for read errors using DVDInfoPro or similar.
